Job Description

The Design & Technical Services team is looking for a strong project manager to coordinate the various hotel openings in the pipeline, in collaboration with our support office departments. He / she will be responsible for the coordination and development of all aspects of hotel and residential design to ensure that ACCOR design standards are provided to the developer & design consultants in a timely manner; to ensure that the design are completed within the design criteria specifically established for the project and within an agreed period.

Location: Accor HQ  – Budapest, Hungary

Scope: Poland, Hungary, Romania, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Baltic states, Greece, Malta, South-Eastern countries (e.g. Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia, etc.)

The role obviously involves frequent international travel within its scope.

Key responsibilities

  • Participate and advise clients through concept, schematic design, and more as per Hotel Consultancy Service Agreement signed between ACCOR and the Client
  • Build and maintain key relationships with Owners and Consultants to ensure smooth & timely projects progress
  • Direct interior designers and architects in the preparation of detailed layouts
  • Prepare, update and revise area summary, design briefs, operating criteria, design standards and outline of consultant scope of responsibilities
  • Meet with consultants to review Design Brief & Operating Criteria, Design Standards and Construction Budget  Review consultants' responsibilities, sources of direction, budget control, reporting functions
  • Assist in the selection of all consultants, including definition of scope of services and fee negotiations
  • Co-ordinate and develop budgeting cost control, design alternatives, schedules

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of Design Management experience, including few years of Interior Design experience
  • Experience within an international or global hospitality organization in a similar role is an advantage
  • Higher education - degree in Architecture / Design
  • Fluent in English, working proficiency level in French, Polish and Russian are considered as an advantage
  • High-level knowledge of AutoCAD and all latest Interior Design Software
  • Highly responsible and reliable; ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong Team Spirit, Leadership and Project Management skills
  • Ability to build strong ownership / stakeholder relations
  • Communicating with impact and influence
  • Passion and fully engaged in delivering greater product for each brand
  • Significant skills in decoration, organizing and planning
