• Ensure to maintain all laundry machines, equipment & chemicals and detergents required to wash the laundry.
• Sort laundry items by kind, color and heavy soiled, medium soiled, light soiled and separate dry cleaning from laundry items.
• Check linen/ uniforms for damage, stains etc, and ensure to inform the Laundry Supervisor about the defects noted.
• Load proper number of items and quantity or weight into washing machines, add detergents or chemicals as required and ensure to operate the machine carefully.
• Ensure to remove stains from the items using the proper stain removers and according to the standard procedures.
• Examine laundered items to ensure cleanliness.
• Ensure that all the Standard Operating Procedures set for the department are followed.
• Handle additional responsibilities as and when delegated by Management.
