The role
- Prepare and present menu items showing variety and flair, within the cost margins specified by the hotel
- Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage.
- Ensure stock control procedures are implemented and maintained
- Prepare and ensures availability of mis en place as required
- Order necessary foods according to proposed business demands.
- Be familiar with other areas in the Kitchen so when called upon, assistance can be provide
What we are looking for
- Commercial Cookery Certificate qualification
- Previous Commis Chef experience preferably in hotels
- Excellent time & task management skills
- The ability to plan & communicate daily work schedules
- A willingness to learn
- Flexibility to work across a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays
- Valid work rights for a part time position within Australia
