Job Description

As a Hotel Maintenance Worker (Duty Technician) you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of the hotel’s technical systems, including IT, audiovisual equipment, Wi-Fi, and in-room technologies such as Chromecast and televisions.This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks across the hotel
  • Respond to guest requests for maintenance issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment, facilities, and common areas to identify and resolve any maintenance needs.
  • In this role, you will also be responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining IT systems, including hotel Wi-Fi, Chromecast services, and in-room televisions, ensuring guests have a seamless and enjoyable tech experience during their stay.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance plans to ensure smooth operations of all hotel systems (e.g., HVAC, lighting, appliances, Room Inspections).
  • Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed in line with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with management and other departments to address any issues and maintain high standards of hotel upkeep.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance work and inventory.
  • Maintain a data bases of contractors, environment, inspections

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in general maintenance, ideally within a hotel or hospitality setting
  • Proficiency in computer skills is important for this role, outlook, word, excel
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair common maintenance issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Excellent communication skills and a guest-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • This role is a minimum guarantee of 24 hours per week, does include weekend work
