Food and Beverage Attendant Part Time

We are conveniently located in the heart of Melbourne's CBD, right opposite Southern Cross Station. The hotel features 190 rooms and apartments, a fully equipped conference centre, restaurant and bar. Offering impeccable service and a welcoming atmosphere, Batman’s Hill on Collins is the ideal venue for guests visiting the city for leisure or work. 

We are looking for part-time or Food and Beverage attendants to join our team. 

What you will be doing

• Providing food and beverage service to guests in our restaurants, bar and conference spaces 
• Explaining the menu to guests, assisting those with special dietary needs or preferences 
• Maximising sales opportunities with recommendations and suggestions
• Communicating with other departments to ensure the highest level of guest service is maintained
• Maintaining clean and safe work spaces and guest areas and ensuring food safety requirements are followed

What we are looking for

• Great communication skills & presentation and confidence to engage with guests
• A genuine interest in food and beverage as well as in our local Melbourne area
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
• Experience in food and beverage is preferable, but a passion for providing great guest service is what will really make you stand out!

• The availability and flexibility to work various rostered shifts, including early mornings (from 6 am), late evenings and on weekends and public holidays
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol and Food Handler qualifications (or prepared to obtain)
• Knowledge of H+L point of sale system would be an advantage, however not mandatory as training will be provided
• You must have current working rights in Australia.  We are unable to provide sponsorship for this role. Working Holiday Visa holders are encouraged to apply
