Job Description

  • Assist the Director of Food & Beverage in developing and updating menus.
  • Collaborate with chefs and culinary staff to create new dishes and recipes.
  • Ensure that menu pricing is competitive and profitable.
  • Assist in hiring, training, and supervising food and beverage staff.
  • Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback and coaching.
  • Handle disciplinary issues and conflicts as needed.
  • Assist in monitoring food and beverage inventory levels and ensuring that supplies are always available.
  • Help implement systems for ordering, receiving, and storing inventory.
  • Track food costs and implement strategies to minimize waste.
  • Assist in ensuring that customers have a positive dining experience by providing exceptional service.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor customer feedback and make necessary adjustments to improve service.
  • Assist in developing and managing the food and beverage budget.
  • Monitor sales and costs to ensure profitability.
  • Prepare financial reports and analyze performance.
  • Ensure that all food and beverage operations comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in implementing safety procedures and conducting inspections.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in food and beverage management.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage industry trends and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Understanding of financial concepts and budgeting.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • The Assistant Director of Food & Beverage must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • The ability to handle stress and pressure is essential.
