Our guest rooms and accommodation spaces at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge are being fully refreshed with new finishes, furnishings, and amenities. Housekeeping team members will be among the first to work in brand-new spaces, supporting elevated cleanliness standards and luxury presentation.
This role requires attention to detail, adaptability, and pride in maintaining new product to a high standard from day one. We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, as our new Public Areas Head Houseperson. As a Public Areas Head Houseperson your support and leadership will ensure your hotel remains clean, beautiful, welcoming – and also a source of pride.
What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Director of Housekeeping, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
- Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards
- Supervision and continual training/recognition of the Public Areas colleagues
- Daily upkeep of all public areas in regards to cleanliness, maintenance and quality control
- Assist with all guest inquiries that arise during their shift
- Maintain good departmental and inter-departmental communication
- Ensure that all equipment is maintained and in good working order
- Coordinate with Housekeeping Head Houseperson with regard to scheduling, task assignments, and projects
- Review daily function activity to ensure all necessary time lines are met
- Assist with inventory control
- Attend communication meetings
- Work a variety of shifts, over a 24 hour period
- Following all safety and sanitation policies
- Adhere to the hotel’s vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel vehicles

- Other duties as assigned
Your experience and skills include:
- Supervisory experience an asset
- Previous experience in housekeeping required, minimum one year
- Valid Alberta drivers license required
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
