Job Description

Back of the House Supervisor is responsible and work collaboratively  to maintaining all employee facilities and back-of-house areas, ensuring a safe, clean, hygienic, and well-organized working environment for all Heartists. The role combines responsibilities related to Public Area operations, Stewarding supervision, and Human Resources administration concerning employee facilities. The position ensures compliance with hygiene standards, employee welfare initiatives, facility maintenance, and administrative requirements while fostering a positive workplace culture.

General Duties

  1. Supervise and work collaboratively on the daily operation and cleanliness of all employee facilities i.e. :
  • Heartist Restaurant/Canteen
  • Lockers for heartists
  • Locker for DW
  • Changing rooms
  • Prayer rooms
  • Rest areas
  • Offices
  • Public back-of-house spaces.
  1. Ensure all employee facilities are maintained in excellent condition and meet company standards.
  1. Coordinate and supervise Canteen operations to ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are consistently maintained.
  1. Monitor and control the cleanliness of all back-of-house public areas.
  1. Conduct regular inspections of employee facilities and prepare corrective action plans when required.
  1. Support employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives related to staff facilities and working environments.
  1. Maintain accurate records/ bi weekly inventory relates cutleries, asset, inspections, and maintenance requests.
  1. Manage monthly inventory for cleaning chemicals, equipment, uniforms, lockers, and employee amenities.
  1. Coordinate with Engineering regarding repairs, preventive maintenance, and facility improvements.
  1. Ensure compliance with hotel policies, hygiene regulations, and occupational health and safety standards.

Maintenance, Cleanliness, and Sanitation

  1. Ensure all employee facilities and BOH areas are maintained according to hygiene and safety standards.
  1. Conduct routine inspections and follow up on maintenance issues.
  1. Ensure proper waste management and recycling practices are implemented.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in its field.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, and occupational health and safety standards.
  • Experience in employee facility management is an advantage.
