Job Description

Are you an enthusiastic and dynamic individual with a passion for the hospitality industry? Do you possess exceptional communication and negotiation skills? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you to join our team as a Sales Manager at Mercure Newcastle.

As a Sales Manager, you will be an integral part of our growth strategy, responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities to drive revenue and expand our client base. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Proactively identifying potential business partners, corporate clients, event planners, inbound operators and travel agencies to establish and nurture strong relationships.
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to create and implement effective sales strategies, campaigns, and promotions to attract new business.
  • Conducting market research to identify trends, competitive analysis, and opportunities for expansion.
  • Pitching our hotel's unique offerings to potential clients and partners through persuasive presentations and negotiations.
  • Managing the end-to-end sales process, including lead generation, prospecting, proposal creation, contract negotiation, and closing deals.
  • Developing and maintaining a detailed understanding of the hotel's facilities, services, and packages to effectively communicate value propositions to clients.
  • Attending industry events, trade shows, and networking sessions to enhance brand visibility and build a strong professional network.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams at Accor’s Salter Brothers Portfolio Office, including operations, marketing, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of client agreements.
  • Working closely with the General Manager and Portfolio Director of Sales and Marketing on sales initiatives and projects
  • Assisting with some adhoc marketing alongside the Portfolio Marketing Manager

 


Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • At least 2-years experience in business development, hospitality or hotels experience is preferred
  • Proven track record in business development, sales, or a related role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong negotiation and presentation abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets
  • A passion for the hospitality industry and a deep understanding of client relationship process
