Job Description

An exceptional opportunity presents itself for a Laundry Valet to join the Rooms Department at Raffles London at the OWO.

Reporting into Laundry Supervisor, you will maintain and repair all colleague uniforms to the highest standards when needed and provide a distinctive, high standard of workmanship when assisting with guest alteration works. To assist with distribution and tracking of staff uniform in a warm and timely manner and work closely with the laundry team to ensure the smooth running of the operation and to avoid any discrepancies. To act as an ambassador of the Raffles during your interaction with guests and colleagues.

 

Specifically as the Laundry Valet:

  • To communicate any issues or concerns regarding uniform with laundry manager / Assistant Executive / Executive Housekeeper
  • To inspect and repair staff uniform when necessary. Should any garment be soiled or damaged beyond redemption, inform the Laundry Manager
  • To ensure all equipment is well maintained and in proper working order. Report any malfunctioning or defects immediately to the Laundry Manager / Assistant housekeeper manager / Assistant Executive/Executive Housekeeper
  • To keep the uniform area clean and tidy
  • To maintain the stock levels of seamstress utilities
  • To monitor the quality of returned guest garments; uniform and chef wear from outside contractor
  • To be flexible and adaptable,  pressing guest garments and staff uniform as directed by the Laundry Manager / Assistant housekeeper manager / Assistant executive/Executive Housekeeper
  • To follow the Lost Property procedure
