Job Description

The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation and hygiene across guest rooms, public and back-of-house areas to ensure guest comfort and uphold the resort’s quality standards. The role also supports the Housekeeping function through safe equipment uses, stock control, confidentiality, security procedures and assistance with laundry, public areas and guest requests as required. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and service guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors and allocated areas to Elysium presentation and hygiene standards 
  • Replenish guest amenities, supplies and in-room materials appropriate to room type 
  • Complete scheduled and deep-cleaning tasks as directed 
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of storerooms, trolleys and equipment 
  • Use cleaning chemicals, linen and equipment safely, economically and in accordance with procedures 
  • Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment or safety concerns promptly 
  • Follow procedures for lost property, guest confidentiality and security of keys and restricted areas 
  • Assist with guest requests, including turndown service and set-up of rollaway beds or cots where required 
  • Support housekeeping operations through public area cleaning, laundry duties and delivery of linen and supplies as needed 
  • Ensure public, staff and back-of-house areas remain clean, clear and well presented at all times

  • Act as both an Accor and Elysium Ambassador, upholding the standards of The Elysium Way in every interaction to deliver our Elysium Brand Pillars.  This expectation applies equally to how we support our guests, suppliers, stakeholders and how we support each other as a team 
  • Take every opportunity to positively represent Elysium internally and externally through your conduct, presentation, communication and service mindset 
  • Adhere to the Grooming Guidelines as a reflection of the elegance, refinement and professionalism expected of a luxury resort environment 
  • Contribute to a workplace where team members feel welcome, valued and supported. 
  • Support a culture of trust, respect and empowerment, recognising that how we treat each other directly influences the experience delivered to our guests.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • Warm and caring personality; previous housekeeping experience is an asset
  • Ability to anticipate and focus attention on guest needs, being professional and welcoming
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management
  • Knowledge of safe cleaning practices, chemical handling and hygiene standards preferred 
  • Good time management and ability to complete tasks within allocated timeframes 
  • Clear communication skills and ability to follow instructions and procedures
