Job Description

Job Summary

The Income Auditor is responsible for reviewing and verifying the hotel's daily revenue transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness and proper recording in accordance with hotel policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily audit of hotel revenue from rooms, F&B outlets and other operating departments.
  • Verify daily revenue reports against the hotel's Property Management System (PMS) and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
  • Check and reconcile cash, credit card, bank and other payment transactions.
  • Review daily cashier summaries and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
  • Verify room charges, discounts, complimentary rooms, rebates and adjustments.
  • Review F&B revenue, voids, discounts, cancellations and complimentary transactions.
  • Investigate and follow up on any discrepancies or unusual transactions.
  • Prepare the daily revenue report and other required financial reports.
  • Ensure all revenue is accurately posted to the appropriate accounts and dates.
  • Maintain proper documentation and filing of daily audit records.
  • Assist with month-end closing and revenue reconciliation.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel financial policies, internal controls and Accor standards.
  • Liaise with Front Office, F&B and other departments to resolve revenue-related discrepancies.
  • Support internal and external audits when required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Finance Management.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in hotel finance or accounting.
  • Experience in income auditing or hotel revenue accounting is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of hotel PMS and POS systems.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with good attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Able to work independently and meet daily deadlines.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Open to Malaysian candidates only; preferably local Sarawakian.
