Food and Beverage - Apprentice

Primary Responsibilities

Outlet Operations

• Assist the F&B team with opening and closing side duties as instructed.
• Support the team in setting tables, side stations, and service areas as per hotel standards.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and readiness of the assigned workstation before and during operations.
• Welcome and assist guests courteously under the guidance of senior team members.
• Assist in serving food and beverages as per established service standards.
• Support the team in ensuring food and beverages are served promptly and at the appropriate temperature.
• Assist with clearing and resetting tables after guests' departure.
• Help maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the outlet and service areas.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures at all times.
• Assist in collecting food and beverage supplies as instructed by the supervisor.
• Report guest requests, complaints, incidents, or irregularities to the supervisor immediately.
• Assist other F&B outlets during busy periods or whenever required.
• Learn and follow the hotel's service standards, procedures, and operating practices.

Learning & Development Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of F&B operations, menu items, preparation methods, and service procedures.
• Learn about the hotel's outlets, facilities, and guest services.
• Attend all departmental briefings, meetings, training sessions, and learning activities as assigned.
• Observe and learn proper guest interaction and service techniques from senior team members.
• Develop basic knowledge of upselling and promoting F&B offerings under supervision.
• Follow instructions provided by supervisors and seek guidance whenever required.

General Responsibilities

• Report for duty on time and in a clean and complete uniform.
• Maintain high standards of personal grooming and hygiene.
• Follow hotel fire, life safety, emergency, and security procedures.
• Maintain a positive, courteous, and professional attitude towards guests and colleagues.
• Support the team in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming working environment.
• Perform other reasonable duties and responsibilities assigned by the Management of the Hotel.
