Job Description

Finance Executive Officer is responsible for ensuring accurate record-keeping, compliance with financial regulations, and initiate creditors’ payment in accordance with hotel policies and procedures.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Entering transaction data into an accounting system or program and ensuring everything matches the supporting documents.

Administrative Responsibilities

 

  • To discharge the duties in an effective and efficient manner.

Technical Responsibilities

  • Check and validate all revenue transactions from all hotel departments, such as Front Office, Food and Beverage, and others.
  • Compare data in the hotel management system with physical evidence such as invoices, receipts, and sales reports from each department to find discrepancies.
  • Ensure all revenue postings, such as room charges, miscellaneous charges, and discounts, are done correctly and according to the correct revenue code.
  • Provide recommendations for improvements in recording and reporting processes to reduce errors and increase efficiency.
  • Receive and review invoices from suppliers, ensure accuracy of information, and verify conformity with goods or services received by the company.
  • Record all purchase and expense transactions in detail and accurately.
  • Organize and store all payment documents as proof of transactions.
  • Reconcile balance sheet reports and ensure the debt balances are correct.
  • Ensure the company's cash is at a normal amount to make payments.
  • Communicate and coordinate with other departments as well as with suppliers

Commercial Responsibilities

 

  • To answer all queries from Internal or external in a professional manner

 


Qualifications

  • Diploma in finance, accounting, economics, or business administration is typically the minimum educational requirement. 

  • Professional experience: At least 1-2 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting

  • Specific experience & Technical Skill : Experience in specific areas like bookkeeping, accounts payable, financial reporting, Income Audit, and proficient with  accounting systems.

  • Communication: Excellent communication skills verbal and written communication skill

  • Attention to detail: A high level of accuracy is crucial for financial reporting

  • Experience in luxury property will be a plus
