Job Description

  • Oversees daily accounting operations such as reviewing daily revenue reports, verifying the accuracy of reports, and preparing time tables for completion of reports and work schedules.
  • Ensures verification and completeness of documents, journals, labor, and expenses, prepares actual and estimated working capital schedules, and ensures that unused cheques and other bank forms are safely stored and that all measures are taken to protect cash on hand.
  • Maintains close communication with public auditors and partners, communicates instructions for preparation of internal and external audits, and trains colleagues in the department.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a degree in Accounting and Hospitality Management or any related field is an asset, preferably a Certified Public Accountant.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in finance is an advantage.
  • Strong leadership, verbal and written communication skills, and a keen sense of detail.
  • Proficiency in relevant software such as Microsoft applications and other relevant applications for Accounting.
