We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Assistant Director – Sales to lead our luxury and travel trade operations in Udaipur, India. In this pivotal role, you will drive sales strategy, build and mentor high-performing teams, and cultivate strategic partnerships with key clients in the luxury travel sector. The ideal candidate will combine professional expertise with decisive leadership and a customer-focused approach to achieve organizational sales objectives.
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies for the luxury and travel trade segment to achieve revenue targets and market expansion goals
- Lead, mentor, and manage a sales team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous professional development
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key clients, travel agencies, tour operators, and corporate partners in the luxury segment
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to identify business opportunities and inform strategic decisions
- Oversee sales operations, including pipeline management, deal closure, and contract negotiations with major accounts
- Monitor and optimize sales performance metrics, preparing regular reports and presentations for senior management
- Collaborate with marketing, operations, and product teams to ensure alignment on promotional campaigns and client deliverables
- Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums to enhance brand visibility and generate leads
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all sales activities
- Identify training needs within the sales team and implement programs to enhance skill sets and product knowledge
- Minimum 5-7 years of progressive sales experience in the luxury and travel trade industry
- Proven track record of leading and managing sales teams with demonstrated success in achieving targets and driving revenue growth
- Strong expertise in strategic sales planning, business development, and market analysis
- Excellent client relationship management skills with the ability to build long-term partnerships
- Proficiency with CRM software and sales management tools
- Demonstrated ability to analyze sales data and market trends to inform strategic decisions
- Exceptional negotiation and closing skills with experience managing high-value accounts
- Experience managing P&L responsibilities and budget allocation
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools
- Knowledge of luxury travel market dynamics, pricing strategies, and customer segmentation
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- Preferred: Experience with luxury hospitality, premium travel packages, or high-end tourism services
