Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Responsibilities

• Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
• Must answer the radio call within 3 attempts(when a radio is assigned)
• To complete all guest related service requests within 30 minutes
• Complete all non-guest related work order requests as scheduled in a professional and timely manner, taking care to clean up completely after work is done and/or request Housekeeping support
• To assist with all duties in the Engineering Department including all aspect of mechanical repairs, electrical work and painting.
• To assist the Engineering Supervisor in day to day duties
• Must be able to keep a detailed log book
• Ongoing dedication to exceptional guest service, both to internal and external guests
• To carry out all work in a safe manner, following all guidelines as outlined in the Health & Safety Program

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • Previous Engineering experience in a large hotel preferred
• Must work well without supervision
• Previous experience in hotel operations including guest service experience an asset

Physical Demands

This position requires:

• Constant standing and walking throughout shift
• Must be able to stand, walk, climb, bend and stoop
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pound
• Lifting and carrying
• Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, sitting
• Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
