About Mercure Brisbane Spring Hill 

The Mercure Brisbane Spring Hill is located on the central city fringe, just minutes from the CBD, Brisbane River, Suncorp Stadium and public transport.  Overlooking the city skyline and Roma St Parklands, the Hotel features 179 spacious guest rooms with generous open-aired balconies, modern amenities, an outdoor swimming pool, fitness room, and an alfresco-style restaurant and bar. 

• Clean and prepare guest rooms to the high standards expected at our hotel, including changing bed linens, towels, and bathroom amenities
• Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitise all room surfaces, bathrooms, and fixtures while maintaining attention to detail
• Replenish guest supplies (toiletries, coffee/tea, etc.) and ensure rooms are welcoming and fully stocked
• Report any maintenance issues, lost property, or damage promptly to supervisors
• Clean public areas as assigned and assist with deep cleaning or special projects when required
• Respond courteously to guest requests and maintain a professional, positive attitude
• Work efficiently to meet daily room quotas while prioritising hygiene, safety, and sustainability practices (including our commitment to reducing single-use plastics)

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience in a hotel, hospitality, or similar fast-paced environment preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Good physical fitness and ability to handle repetitive tasks, including lifting and bending
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work a rotating roster including weekends, public holidays, and early/late shifts
• Basic understanding of hygiene, health & safety standards in a hospitality setting
• Right to work in Australia
• Excellent English communication skills (additional languages an advantage)
• A positive team player with a guest-focused mindset
