Your purpose will be:

To participate in team management of golf services, training and development of staff, P&L Responsibility, driving sales and guest satisfaction/experience belonging to Fairmont Cheshire, The Mere. To maintain the standards, safety and quality of service as set out in the brand SOP.


Job Description

  • Support sales plans, promotions and team incentives
  • Work with marketing to keep all golf promotions up to date
  • Understand departmental budgets and revenue targets
  • Report on all golf‑related revenues
  • Take a commercial approach to daily operations to help drive income
  • Look for ways to improve service and introduce new ideas
  • Ensure all Golf Services follow SOPs and brand standards
  • Help maintain and improve guest satisfaction scores
  • Lead by example in delivering an exceptional guest journey
  • Support colleagues and promote a positive team culture
  • Train and guide junior team members
  • Contribute to team development and succession planning
  • Monitor business levels to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Work closely with other departments to maximise performance
  • Maintain cleanliness in all front and back‑of‑house golf areas
  • Attend weekly Resort Operations Meetings when possible

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in golf operations or guest‑facing leisure services within a luxury resort or premium hospitality setting (preferred)
  • Strong communication and customer‑service skills
  • Good organisational and leadership abilities
  • Basic IT proficiency (PMS, booking systems, Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to work outdoors and manage the physical demands of the role
  • Knowledge of golf etiquette, products and services (preferred)
  • First Aid certification (preferred)
