The Staff Cafeteria Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the staff cafeteria within an organization. This includes managing cafeteria staff, ensuring high-quality food service, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, and fostering a positive dining experience for employees.
Starting Rate: $23.79 per hour
We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $28.28
Job Duties Include:
- Supervise, train, and support cafeteria staff and cooks, ensuring performance meets established standards.
- Assist with menu planning, food preparation, and quality control, maintaining compliance with recipes, portioning, and presentation.
- Oversee daily operations, anticipate upcoming events, and implement initiatives to enhance the employee dining experience.
- Monitor food storage, handling, sanitation, and equipment cleanliness, addressing safety or maintenance issues promptly.
- Collaborate with the Cafeteria Chef on staff feedback, financial objectives, and maintaining overall standards of service, ambiance, and cafeteria function.
Your Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years’ supervisory experience in a fast-paced cafeteria or food service environment
- Valid Food Safety Certification
- Strong knowledge of food handling, storage, and sanitation regulations
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of shifts
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including varied shifts and days across a 7-day operation
- Basic knowledge of budgeting and financial management principles
