What you will be doing:
- Actively sell group business with 15+ guestrooms on peak, ensuring monthly, quarterly & yearly goals are met.
- Solicit and engage with new business/clients, while growing existing relationships and capturing re-bookings.
- Organize and conduct introductory & planning site visits in a professional manner that address the needs of the guests/groups, while showcasing the hotel’s offerings.
- Create, maintain and manage positive and strong relationships with all guests, vendors, departments, colleagues and the global sales network.
- Conduct on-going research within given market segment /region and participate in tradeshows, conventions and promotional events.
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service, while ensuring prompt and courteous service is provided to both internal and external contacts.
Qualifications
- Previous Group Sales experience, minimum 3 years, in a similar setting and being computer literate with Microsoft Office applications is required.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, both written and verbal is essential, with the ability to build relationships and rapport seamlessly.
- Proven ability to problem solve, interact with many stakeholders and collaborate with various areas throughout the hotel.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to focus attention on guest needs, while remaining calm and professional at all times.
- Ability to work well under pressure with strong attention to detail to ensure the highest level of accuracy.
