Staff Camp Cleaner

The Fairmont Mara Safari Club is a luxury tented Lodge with a lush and secured private garden in the middle of the bush that connects modern comfort to an incredible adventure in the world famous Mara Savannah.  The luxuriously furnished tents overlook the hippo and crocodile filled Mara River.  The outdoor swimming pool, exciting culinary experience and breath-taking game drives makes Fairmont Mara Safari Club a must-visit destination for safari lovers and adventure seekers. Located in an intimate but wide conservancy which hosts the two last Southern white rhinos of Mara, Fairmont Mara Safari Club gives guests the possibility to closely observe the big-5 and experience all types of safaris from night game drives, balloon safaris, nature walks and bike safaris.

Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, responsibilities include but not limited to:-

. Clean and sanitize all staff residence toilets, washrooms, bathrooms, and shower facilities according to established cleaning schedules.

·  Clean and maintain common areas, including corridors, staircases, lounges, kitchens, laundry areas, and other shared spaces.

·  Replenish amenities and consumables such as toilet paper, hand soap, air fresheners, paper towels, and other required supplies.

·  Conduct routine inspections of assigned areas to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance with staff accommodation standards.

·  Assist the People & Culture (P&C) department during staff accommodation inspections.

·  Support the allocation and handover of staff housing by preparing rooms before occupancy and assisting P&C during room assignments.

·  Report maintenance defects and repair requirements (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, fixtures, and fittings) promptly to the relevant department.

·  Ensure cleaning equipment and chemicals are used safely and stored correctly.

·  Maintain appropriate stock levels of cleaning materials and report shortages in a timely manner.

·  Dispose of waste appropriately and maintain proper waste segregation practices.

·  Observe all Health, Safety, Hygiene, and Environmental standards while carrying out duties.

·  Respond promptly to staff requests related to cleanliness and shared facility hygiene.

- At least one year in a similar field in hospitality

-Certificate of secondary Education

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

• Frequent standing and walking throughout shift 

• Occasional lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs 

• Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, sitting
