Job Description

Mercure Kooddoo Resort, Maldives is seeking a compassionate and organized Welfare Coordinator to join our team. As a Welfare Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and satisfaction of our employees, contributing to a positive work environment in our tropical paradise.

  • Develop and implement employee welfare programs and initiatives
  • Conduct regular check-ins with employees to assess their well-being and address concerns
  • Coordinate with HR and management to resolve employee issues and grievances
  • Organize and facilitate wellness activities, team-building events, and social gatherings
  • Manage employee assistance programs and provide support during times of personal or professional challenges
  • Collaborate with the HR team to improve employee engagement and retention strategies
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of welfare programs
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies related to employee welfare
  • Act as a liaison between employees and management to foster open communication
  • Assist in creating a positive work culture that aligns with the resort's values and goals

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Human Resources Management / Hotel Management
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar capacity
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability in conflict resolution and problem-solving
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of labor laws and employee rights
  • Understanding of wellness programs and employee assistance initiatives
  • Experience in the hospitality industry preferred
  • HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred
  • Empathetic and supportive approach to employee concerns
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
  • Willingness to relocate to Maldives
