Located in the heart of downtown Fairmont New Orleans will be an impressive new addition to Fairmont’s luxury portfolio, offering 250 luxury guest rooms, four food & drink venues, a rooftop pool with expansive views of the city, more than 19,000 square feet of function space, and a 10,000 square-foot spa.

This property is destined to become an illustrious destination in the Central Business District, nearby the city’s renowned and historic French Quarter.

The Spa Therapist – Massage & Esthetics is responsible for delivering professional spa treatments and wellness experiences while providing exceptional guest service consistent with luxury hospitality standards. This role performs massage therapy, facial and esthetic services, body treatments, and wellness services designed to promote relaxation, wellness, skin health, and guest satisfaction in a tranquil and professional spa environment.

The ideal candidate is service-oriented, knowledgeable, professional, and passionate about wellness, skin care, guest care, and creating personalized luxury experiences.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide professional massage therapy, facial and esthetic services, body treatments, and wellness services in accordance with hotel spa standards, treatment protocols, scope of practice, and applicable licensing requirements.
• Conduct guest consultations to assess wellness needs, skin concerns and conditions, preferences, contraindications, and appropriate treatment recommendations.
• Maintain treatment rooms, equipment, linens, esthetic implements, and spa areas in a clean, sanitized, organized, and guest-ready condition.
• Ensure guest comfort, privacy, dignity, and confidentiality throughout all spa experiences.
• Educate guests on spa services, wellness recommendations, skin care regimens, retail products, and home care recommendations as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and treatment records in accordance with company procedures and applicable regulations.
• Follow all sanitation, infection control, workplace safety, and professional licensing standards.
• Assist with spa setup, preparation, and operational support as assigned.
• Promote spa services, wellness offerings, and retail products professionally and responsibly.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, questions, concerns, and service recovery opportunities.
• Support spa events, VIP experiences, wellness programs, and promotional initiatives as assigned.
• Maintain professional appearance, demeanor, and conduct consistent with luxury hospitality standards.
• Participate in required trainings, meetings, and continuing education as operationally required.

• Current Louisiana Massage Therapy License and Louisiana Esthetician License required.
• Additional massage therapy, esthetics, spa, or wellness certifications preferred depending on assigned services.
• Previous spa, wellness, massage therapy, esthetics, or luxury hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong guest service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Knowledge of massage techniques, facial and skin care techniques, skin types and conditions, professional skin care products, wellness treatments, anatomy, contraindications, and spa sanitation standards.
• Ability to maintain professionalism, discretion, and guest confidentiality at all times.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
• Professional appearance and polished demeanor required.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts as operationally required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Skills & Competencies

• Experience in luxury hotel or upscale spa environments.
• Knowledge of multiple massage modalities, facial treatments, esthetic techniques, professional skin care, and wellness techniques.
• Strong retail recommendation and guest engagement skills.
• Ability to create personalized and memorable guest experiences.
• Positive attitude with a calm, welcoming, and service-oriented approach.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
