Job Description

  • Provide direction and support for leisure and business travel sales managers, to determine effective and engaging rate offers which are then offered to the right customer, in the right channel.
  • Support in evaluating group business to ensure we are maximizing revenues in both guest rooms and food & beverage.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure the best exposure for our offers.
  • Liaise regularly with the Group Reservations Manager to ensure that contracted group blocks are open for sale via various booking channels, groups are being picked up and that potential attrition charges are communicated.
  • Monitor booking pace for all market segments, and deploying strategies to maximize revenues.
  • Retrieve/prepare daily Revenue Management reports.
  • In collaboration with Sales and the Area Director, Revenue Management, develop and execute pricing strategies and rate parameters for all revenue streams.
  • Analyze competitive set pricing and yield strategies, gaining the ability to predict the comp set reaction to changes in the marketplace.
  • Champion the Restaurant Revenue Management program to ensure venue revenues are maximized and optimized.
  • Analyze menu performance to identify high-profit and high-demand items while optimizing menu design to enhance guest appeal and operational efficiency.
  • Develop data-driven pricing strategies that align with market demand, competitor benchmarks, and perceived customer value.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to optimize table turnover rates, seating plans, and reservation systems to maximize venue capacity and revenue.
  • In collaboration with Sales & Conference Services, ensure contracted meeting spaces are properly inputted into S&C.
  • Provide training to F&B outlet managers on revenue management principles to align operational practices with strategic goals.
  • Play an active role in the Strategic Planning, Marketing Plan, Budgeting and Forecast process.
  • Stay current with industry trends and how they may impact demand.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director, Revenue Management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree and/or Hotel Management degree and/or equivalent experience
  • Good knowledge of Opera Sales and Catering, IdeaS Revenue Management Software and GDS’s an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of Food & Beverage POS is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Opera and Microsoft Excel required.
  • Strategic thinking with a proven ability to mobilize theory into action.
  • Minimum two years of Revenue Management related experience.
  • Previous Food & Beverage Management experience is preferred.
  • Previous Front OfÏce Management experience an asset.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects under time constraint.

Physical Aspects of Position (included but not limited to):

  • Frequent sitting throughout shift.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs.
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting.
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps.
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
