Job Description

Novotel Bruges Centrum, Ibis Bruges Centrum and Ibis Budget Brugge Centrum Station are prime destinations for travellers in the heart of the enchanting medieval city of Bruges.

We are seeking an experienced Revenue Manager to oversee the revenue management processes for these multi-brand hotels, driving turnover and ensuring alignment with marketing strategies, market conditions, and customer needs.

You will be responsible for having all the revenue management processes in place within the perimeter, implementing the strategy on a daily basis, updating planning, quoting groups, and alerting the GM/RM Management when the market deviates from the strategy.

Operational Responsibilities

Data Management and Process Communication:

  • Ensure booking processes and data inputs align with operational standards with constant communication with reservation and front office team.
  • Perform regular checks on data quality, including segmentation and tracking of denied reservations.
  • Maintain and update an event database for use in the Revenue Management System (RMS).

Market and Performance Analysis:

  • Conduct detailed analyses of hotel performance using RMS, reviewing metrics by segment, day type, and competition benchmarks.
  • Assess market trends, competitor pricing, and citywide events to inform pricing strategies.
  • Analyze large volume business and leisure group requests for optimal distribution and rate recommendations.

Strategic Decision-Making:

  • Collaborate with the General Manager to design and adapt hotel strategies based on performance trends and market conditions.
  • Provide precise forecasts compared to operational strategy and annual budgets.
  • Implement and regularly adjust strategies in distribution channels to optimize room availability and pricing.

Evaluation and Continuous Improvement:

  • Review and share monthly results, comparing internal and external metrics like RevPAR and market share, and adjust strategies as necessary.
  • Monitor strategy implementation and ensure alignment with brand, regional, and hotel-specific goals.

Qualifications

Key Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, with experience in data-driven environments.
  • High business acumen with the ability to translate data insights into actionable strategies.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to lead, collaborate, and influence across teams.
  • A proactive and results-driven approach to problem-solving.
  • Adaptable to emerging technologies, with a proven ability to stay updated on innovations and seamlessly integrate them into daily operations in alignment with strategic goals.

Experience and Tools Expertise:

  • Hands-on experience with IDeaS RMS and Opera PMS.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions and pivot tables; experience with PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with CRS systems, distribution channels and market analysis tools.

Education and Qualifications:

  • A degree in Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A deep understanding of the hotel industry, with a background in market analysis and strategy.

Language Requirements:

  • Fluency in English; additional knowledge of Dutch and/or French is advantageous.
