Job Description

Role Overview

As a Resort Host at Banyan Tree Dubai, you are the first point of contact for our guests and play a key role in shaping their overall experience. You will provide a warm, seamless, and personalised arrival and departure experience, ensuring all guest interactions reflect the elegance, calm, and intuitive service standards of the Banyan Tree brand.

You will handle check-in, check-out, guest enquiries, and support the smooth running of front office operations with professionalism and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Arrival & Departure

  • Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and ensure a smooth check-in experience.
  • Process check-ins and check-outs accurately using the hotel PMS system.
  • Escort or direct guests to rooms/resort areas where required.
  • Ensure all departure formalities are handled efficiently and professionally.

Guest Experience & Relations

  • Act as a key point of contact for guest enquiries and requests.
  • Provide personalised information about resort facilities, services, and local area.
  • Handle guest feedback and complaints with professionalism and care, escalating where necessary.
  • Anticipate guest needs to enhance the overall stay experience.

Front Office Operations

  • Manage room allocations in coordination with Housekeeping and Reservations.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date guest records in the system.
  • Handle cash, billing, and payment transactions accurately.
  • Support daily front office reporting and handovers.

Communication & Coordination

  • Coordinate with Housekeeping, Concierge, and F&B teams to ensure seamless guest service.
  • Communicate guest preferences, special requests, and VIP requirements effectively.
  • Support smooth flow of operations during peak check-in/check-out periods.

Service Excellence

  • Deliver service that reflects Banyan Tree’s luxury and personalised hospitality standards.
  • Maintain a calm, polished, and professional presence at all times.
  • Ensure consistency in service delivery across all guest touchpoints.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all front office procedures, safety protocols, and data privacy standards.
  • Ensure proper handling of guest information and payments.
  • Comply with all brand and operational SOPs.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience as a Receptionist, Front Desk Agent, or Guest Service Agent in a luxury hotel or resort preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of front office operations and guest service standards.
  • Experience with hotel PMS systems (Opera or similar) is an advantage.
  • Excellent spoken English; additional languages are beneficial.
