Job Description

Your Role in the Story 

As a Pool Engineer & Cleaner, you will be a key member of our operations team, responsible for the operation, maintenance, and cleanliness of the pools across the LUURA property. Your role combines technical expertise and hands-on work to ensure that all LUURA pools operate at the highest standards of safety, hygiene, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily operation of all pool systems, including pumps, filters, heating, and chlorination systems. 
  • Monitor and manage pool water chemistry to maintain proper pH, chlorine, alkalinity, and other required levels. 
  • Perform daily water quality testing (pH, chlorine, alkalinity, calcium hardness, cyanuric acid) and maintain accurate testing logs and compliance records 
  • Ensure water quality complies with local health, safety, and hygiene regulations. 
  • Inspect and maintain filtration systems, pumps, heating systems, chlorination units, and other pool equipment. 
  • Monitor system pressure levels, identify leaks, pressure loss, or system irregularities, and take corrective actions when required. 
  • Plan and oversee preventive maintenance activities and support necessary repairs. 
  • Coordinate with suppliers and external contractors for equipment servicing or upgrades, in alignment with the Chief Engineer and Shift Engineer. 
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, chemical usage, and system inspections. 
  • Ensure daily cleaning and proper maintenance of all pools and surrounding areas. 
  • Regularly inspect poolside facilities, showers, and furniture to maintain high hygiene and safety standards. 
  •  Keep tools, equipment, and work areas organized, safe, and clean. 
  • Complete required documentation and report maintenance needs or service requirements to management. 
  • Support the Engineering team with additional technical tasks when required and maintain flexibility in responding to operational needs of the pool operation. 

 


Qualifications

Who We’re Looking For 

  • Proven engineering knowledge with at least 3 years of experience in pool operations and maintenance; in hotel or restaurant operation. 
  • Pre-opening experience will be considered an advantage. 
  • Previous experience as a service technician or in a similar technical role is highly desirable. 
  • Strong technical knowledge of pool systems, pumps, filtration, and chemical management. 
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. 
  • Ability to work hands-on while supporting the engineering team and daily operations. 
  • Strong communication skills and ability to report clearly to management. 
  • Good command of English will be considered an advantage. 
  • Eligible to work in an EU country. 
  • Appreciation for art and culture, aligned with the LUURA brand environment.
