Introducing 25hours Hotel The Olympia, opening in the vibrant Sydney suburb of Paddington. Housed within the iconic West Olympia Theatre, the hotel features 109 rooms, multiple dining spaces including The Palomar restaurant, Jacob the Angel café, and Monica, the roof-top bar. A new era awaits at 25hours Hotel The Olympia which will shape and transform the local hospitality scene, welcoming a vibrant and diverse team, bringing its vision to life.  


Job Description

COME AS YOU ARE & SHOW HOW YOU CARE …

As the People & Culture Executive, you will be a dynamic individual joining a high performing team. Don’t expect to be pushing paper – you play an important role in not only supporting all areas of the department, but also championing certain processes. You will assist the Director of People & Culture in the day-to-day operations whilst remaining professional and acting with integrity.   

What does your workday look like …

  • Come as you are and always have fun and have fun with our people every day;
  • Lead by example to ensure the 25hours culture and brand is embraced;
  • Assist with the onboarding of new employees and prepare employment contracts;
  • Assist with all matters related to recruitment and follow Talent Acquisition requirements;
  • Process departures and ensure Exit Interview surveys are conducted;
  • Maintain the Connect database to manage employee accounts and ensure appropriate access to internal systems;
  • Organise events for employees and the community that reinforce our brand values;
  • Have a good understanding of the Hospitality Industry General Award 2020 and Fair Work Act;
  • Build and maintain positive and productive working relationships;
  • Respond to general enquiries, questions, and requests from employees; 
  • Handle all sensitive issues with tact, respect, diplomacy, and confidentiality.

Qualifications

We are looking for you – with personality and that certain something …

  • You have held a HR Administrator or Coordinator role for minimum 12 months;
  • You have sound understanding of employment relations and demonstrated responsibility in handling related matters;
  • You have the ability to inspire others with our vision and confidence to lead independent projects;
  • You have a proactive mindset with problem solving skills;
  • You bring not only your skills, but also your authentic self.
