‘Tis the season to serve up smiles! We’re decking the halls (and the buffet) in one of Australia’s busiest airport lounges, and we need extra hands to make this Christmas sparkle. If you love food, teamwork, and spreading cheer, this is your chance to sleigh it in the kitchen!

Your Role on Santa’s Team

• Help create festive favourites by preparing, cooking and beautifully plating dishes for buffet and à la carte service.
• Bring energy to the breakfast buffet by preparing and serving a delicious variety of fresh menu items with creativity and flair.
• Get hands-on in the kitchen by preparing ingredients, including chopping, slicing, dicing and measuring food products.
• Keep our kitchen sparkling and guest-ready, shining even brighter than Rudolph’s nose.
• Support our chefs with stock rotation, replenishment and inventory management to keep everything running smoothly.
• Minimise waste and follow stock control procedures to ensure every ingredient is used to its full potential.
• Work as part of a fun and fast-paced team to deliver exceptional meals during the holiday rush.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is a gift (but not essential).
• Ability to work under pressure and keep spirits bright.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays.
• A positive attitude and a dash of Christmas cheer.

• Valid RSA and food handling certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to pass airport security clearance.
• Completed or in-progress certificate in Kitchen Management, commercial Cookery, or hospitality.
• Proven experience as a Cook in a high-volume kitchen.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• MUST have full working rights within Australia
