Job Description

An exciting and newly created opportunity exists for a Key Account Manager – Airline & Long Stay, Pacific, based in Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne. This role is perfectly positioned to impact Accor’s success by managing a high-value portfolio of key accounts within the specialised Airline and Long Stay segments. This position has been created to further amplify our results and embed deep expertise in these critical areas across the Pacific region. You will be instrumental in executing Accor’s strategic sales vision, driving substantial growth, leveraging established client relationships, forging new business opportunities, and expanding market share. This is a prime opportunity for a driven professional looking to elevate their career within a leading global hospitality group.

Getting to know the role and your responsibilities

This is a dynamic, high-impact role where you will:

 

  • Strategise for Success: Develop and execute impactful strategic account plans for your assigned Airline & Long Stay portfolio, ensuring precise alignment with regional and national commercial objectives.
  • Implement Vision: Drive the implementation of Accor’s overarching business strategies within your allocated segments, engaging all relevant stakeholders to secure crucial buy-in and collaboration.
  • Provide Key Insights: Contribute valuable insights to regional planning by delivering critical market intelligence, comprehensive competitor analysis, and essential client feedback to refine our positioning.
  • Empower Hotels: Provide direct support to our hotels with best practices, essential tools, and expert guidance, ensuring consistent delivery on segment objectives and exceeding account expectations.
  • Unlock New Business: Proactively identify and cultivate new business opportunities within your existing accounts and selected prospects, expanding Accor's reach and revenue.
  • Optimise Sales: Develop and implement data-driven strategies to maximise sales and distribution opportunities, ensuring smart, effective commercial outcomes.
  • Build Brand Presence: Represent Accor with distinction at key trade events, networking functions, and industry forums, enhancing brand visibility and forging valuable partnerships.
  • Drive Account Performance: Actively manage your portfolio to ensure all contractual obligations are met and performance targets are consistently achieved or exceeded.
  • Support Hotel Delivery: Provide dedicated guidance and support to hotels to ensure flawless delivery on account expectations, including essential training and sharing of best practices.

 


Qualifications

What we need from you

To excel in this influential position, you will bring:

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of essential, relevant sales experience, with a proven track record in key account management and revenue generation within the Airline and/or Long Stay, corporate sectors.
  • Proven Impact: Demonstrated ability to manage, grow, and significantly contribute to a diverse hotel portfolio.
  • Drive & Collaboration: A self-motivated, target-driven individual with exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities; a team player who excels in a goal-oriented, high-performance environment.
  • Strategic Acumen: A natural strategic mindset to identify, create, and act decisively on growth opportunities.
  • Master Negotiator: Strong negotiation and influencing skills, capable of building consensus and achieving mutually beneficial outcomes with both clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Commercial Drive: Solid commercial acumen, relentlessly focused on revenue, ROI, and making data-driven decisions that propel business success.
