Job Description

The Hotel Manager is responsible for providing exceptional leadership and strategic oversight of the hotel's operations, including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Culinary, Engineering, Security, Spa and Raffles Boutique. Working in close partnership with the Executive Committee, the Hotel Manager ensures the seamless orchestration of every aspect of the guest journey, delivering the legendary service, gracious hospitality and elegance that define the Raffles experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide visionary leadership across all hotel operations, inspiring excellence while ensuring the seamless achievement of financial, operational and service objectives.
  • Drive exceptional business performance by delivering key success metrics, including financial performance, guest satisfaction, Luxury Quality Assurance (LQA) ratings, Forbes Travel Guide standards, hygiene and safety audit results and colleague engagement outcomes.
  • Cultivate a culture of excellence by empowering operational leaders to consistently deliver intuitive, personalised and impeccable service, while championing continuous improvement and operational discipline.
  • Maintain rigorous oversight of operational performance, ensuring monthly results are achieved in line with forecast and strategic business objectives.
  • Partner closely with the Managing Director in the development and stewardship of the annual operating budget and rolling forecasts, in accordance with Accor, Raffles and ownership governance.
  • Exercise sound commercial judgement to optimise financial performance, while enhancing operational efficiency and long-term profitability.
  • Oversee the governance and approval of operational expenditure, ensuring compliance with established approval frameworks and corporate standards.
  • Prepare insightful operational updates and strategic recommendations to support business performance.
  • Champion the art of ultra-luxury hospitality, curating exceptional guest journeys and ensuring every touchpoint embodies the legendary elegance and personalised service synonymous with Raffles.
  • Personally welcome and engage with distinguished guests and VIPs, creating memorable, bespoke experiences that exceed expectations.
  • Uphold the highest standards of brand excellence by ensuring unwavering compliance with Raffles Brand Standards, Luxury Quality Assurance (LQA), Forbes Travel Guide criteria and all brand consistency initiatives.
  • Inspire, mentor and empower the Executive Committee and operational leaders to cultivate a high-performing, guest-centric culture founded on excellence, collaboration and innovation.
  • Build relationships with hotel ownership through transparent communication, trusted partnership and sound commercial stewardship.
  • Nurture an inclusive, empowering and purpose-driven workplace that reflects the enduring values, craftsmanship and gracious hospitality that define Raffles.

Qualifications

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience as a Hotel Manager within luxury hotels.
  • Demonstrated success in leading delivering outstanding financial performance, operational excellence and exceptional guest satisfaction.
  • Extensive experience upholding the highest standards of luxury hospitality, with a thorough understanding of Forbes Travel Guide, Luxury Quality Assurance (LQA), brand standards and personalised guest experiences.
  • A genuine passion for gracious hospitality, craftsmanship and service excellence, with a commitment to preserving and elevating the legacy of an iconic luxury brand.
  • A visionary and inspirational leader with the ability to cultivate a culture of excellence, empower high-performing teams and inspire exceptional levels of engagement and service.
  • Highly accomplished in stakeholder engagement, with exceptional communication, presentation and relationship management skills.
