Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Engineering Executive to join our organization in Mysuru, India. In this pivotal leadership role, you will oversee all engineering operations, drive strategic initiatives, and lead a talented team of engineering professionals. As an Engineering Executive, you will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance of all building systems, maintaining the highest safety and compliance standards, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.   • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the engineering department, establishing clear goals and performance metrics aligned with organizational objectives
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems, ensuring they operate at peak efficiency
  • Develop and implement comprehensive preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and extend asset lifecycle
  • Manage and mentor a diverse team of engineering professionals, fostering professional development, skill enhancement, and a collaborative work environment
  • Establish and maintain seamless coordination with all departments to ensure maximum cooperation, productivity, and service delivery
  • Analyze operational data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for optimization, cost reduction, and process improvement
  • Ensure strict adherence to all safety standards, statutory compliance requirements, and occupational health and safety regulations
  • Manage engineering budgets effectively, optimizing resource allocation and controlling operational expenses without compromising quality
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for equipment servicing, repairs, and technological upgrades
  • Respond promptly to operational issues and customer concerns, implementing timely and efficient solutions to ensure satisfaction
  • Maintain transparent communication with senior management regarding departmental performance, challenges, and strategic recommendations
  • Stay abreast of technological advances in building systems, safety equipment, and engineering practices to drive innovation
  • Ensure proper documentation, record-keeping, and compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements
  • Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to maintain a culture of safety and awareness across the engineering team
  • Support the organization's commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives

Qualifications

**Required Education:**

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline

**Required Experience:**

  • Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in engineering operations and maintenance management
  • Proven track record of leading and managing engineering teams in a corporate or industrial environment
  • Demonstrated experience in overseeing building systems, preventive maintenance programs, and equipment lifecycle management
  • Strong background in budget management, cost control, and resource optimization
  • Experience with cross-departmental coordination and stakeholder management

**Required Skills & Competencies:**

  • Comprehensive knowledge of building maintenance systems, HVAC, electrical systems, and plumbing infrastructure
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented approach
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in project management and strategic planning
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts
  • Financial acumen and budget management expertise
  • Vendor and contractor management capabilities
  • Proficiency with maintenance management software and building automation systems
  • Knowledge of safety standards, statutory compliance, and occupational health and safety regulations

**Preferred Certifications & Domain Expertise:**

  • Technical certifications in HVAC, Electrical Systems, Plumbing, or Fire & Safety
  • Certification in Project Management (PMP) or equivalent
  • Knowledge of energy management and sustainability practices
  • Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or other quality and environmental management systems
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks specific to Indian industrial standards
