EN - Maintenance Technician / Handy Man

Approximately 15 - 18 hours per week across Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with occasional weekend availability required.

We are looking for a practical and reliable Maintenance Technician / Handyman to support the day-to-day upkeep of our boutique hotel. This is a hands-on role involving a variety of general maintenance duties across guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out preventative maintenance across guest rooms and public areas
• Performing general repairs and maintenance as required
• Using and maintaining general tools and equipment confidently and safely
• Completing basic plumbing tasks, including unblocking drains and attending to minor leaks
• Performing basic painting, patching and general repair work
• Responding to reactive maintenance requests as they arise
• Assisting with contractor coordination and site access, where required
• Ensuring all maintenance work is completed to hotel and brand standards
• Accurately recording completed maintenance tasks and reporting any outstanding issues
• Working safely and maintaining a clean and organised work environment
• Holding a White Card and being prepared to undertake relevant maintenance duties

This is a hands-on role where pride in workmanship, reliability, attention to detail and a calm, guest-focused approach are highly valued.

Desirable qualifications:

• Formal trade qualification or relevant vocational training
• Experience working within hospitality or heritage building environments
• Familiarity with hotel maintenance management systems such as hub os
