JOB OVERVIEW 

The Director of Spa & Wellness leads the vision, experience, and operational excellence of Tierra Santa Healing House – The Red Sea, a South American–inspired sanctuary dedicated to the art of living well. This role curates transformative journeys that blend ancient healing rituals, shamanic traditions, indigenous ingredients, energetic practices, and state-of-the-art longevity science to elevate guests’ wellbeing.  

As guardian of the Tierra Santa ethos, the Director shapes immersive wellness programming, drives service excellence, develops a world-class team, and ensures each guest experience ignites rejuvenation, consciousness, and spiritual vitality while positioning Tierra Santa Healing House as a signature wellness destination within FAENA The Red Sea. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Champion the Tierra Santa Healing House philosophy, setting the strategic wellness vision and ensuring alignment with Faena brand standards. 

• Lead, inspire, and mentor a multidisciplinary team of therapists, healers, technicians, and wellness specialists. 

• Foster a culture of creativity, authenticity, emotional hospitality, and transformative guest experiences. 

• Oversee daily operations of the spa, hammam, wet areas, treatment rooms, consultation spaces, and wellness programs. 

• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, ambience, and ritual-based service delivery. 

• Implement operating procedures, treatment protocols, and service rituals that reflect Tierra Santa’s holistic and South American–inspired identity. 

• Curate a world-class menu of therapies incorporating shamanic wisdom, energy healing, somatic practices, indigenous ingredients, and advanced technology. 

• Design and evolve personalised wellness journeys, longevity programs, and seasonal rituals. 

• Monitor guest satisfaction, lead continuous improvement, and elevate experience touchpoints. 

• Develop and manage departmental budgets, revenue forecasts, cost controls, and performance KPIs. 

• Drive financial success through treatment optimisation, retail strategy, membership initiatives, and programming innovation. 

• Analyse business trends and create new offerings to maximise profitability and competitive positioning. 

• Recruit, train, and develop exceptional spa, wellness, and holistic practitioners. 

• Ensure all team members deliver both technical excellence and Faena-level emotional hospitality. 

• Lead ongoing training in wellness modalities, rituals, guest engagement, and cultural storytelling. 

• Collaborate with medical consultants, longevity experts, brand partners, and wellness innovators to evolve the wellness portfolio. 

• Integrate diagnostic testing, modern therapies, and alternative healing into cohesive guest journeys. 

• Stay ahead of global wellness and longevity trends to maintain Tierra Santa’s leadership position. 

• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, health and safety guidelines, and Faena brand requirements. 

• Maintain exceptional quality across products, equipment, suppliers, and wellness technologies. 

• Minimum 5–7 years of senior leadership experience in luxury or lifestyle wellness operations across spa, fitness, or recreation within a 5-star resort or standalone wellness brand.  

• Proven track record in managing multi-outlet or large-scale wellness facilities including spa operations and health club management.  

• Degree or diploma in Spa Management, Hospitality, Health & Wellness, or related field preferred.  

• Deep understanding of wellness, fitness, and spa trends with a passion for curating distinctive guest experiences.  

• Commercially savvy, with strong financial acumen and ability to drive revenue while maintaining elevated service standards.  

• Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire teams, handle guest concerns with professionalism, and represent the department confidently.  

• Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.  

• High degree of discretion, confidentiality, and emotional intelligence.  

• Multilingual skills preferred (English required, Spanish/French/Portuguese a plus).
