Job Description

Cluster Sales Manager, Business Travel at The Hoxton, Downtown LA and Mama Shelter LA.

Reporting to the Director of Sales at THDTLA and General Manager at Mama Shelter. Cluster Sales Manager BT will look to drive some amazing corporate business! This position will have full account ownership of Global Accounts, Consortia and local accounts (excluding Entertainment Segment).

What you’ll do… 

  • Actively manage your assigned Corporate Accounts. We’ll look to you to build up great relationships with some big names and entertain regularly, as well as supporting annual rate negotiations and maximizing our market share.  
  • Accurately prepare and present Requests for Proposals so that both client and hotel receive a good value.
  • Prospect for new contract business using a wide variety of methods including phone calls, outside sales calls, attending community functions, internet prospecting, supplier partnerships, trade journals, etc.
  • Develop, implement and constantly modify sales action plans.
  • Work with the Director of Sales/General Manager to build Account Management Plans, preparing and executing creative sales strategies to maximize our revenue opportunities. 
  • Use initiatives to generate new business leads through market research, utilizing Agency 360 data and liaising with the Global Sales team. 
  • Conduct competitive analysis and maintain competitor files to be able to compete successfully.
  • Monitor new market trends in order to find and convert emerging accounts in the market.  
  • Represent The Hoxton at industry networking events and sales trips. 
  • Organize roadshows, familiarization trips, office visits and presentations to enhance The Hoxton’s exposure amongst ‘Key Decision Makers’ in the industry. 
  • Utilize the ACCOR systems to maintain up-to-date account information and assess lead opportunities. 
  • Work collaboratively towards Corporate, Consortia & Group revenue goals and team KPIs.   
  • Create and/or participate in sales strat reports, BEO's, Group Memo's when applicable.
  • Attend Sales Strategy and RevMax Meetings weekly.
  • Internally communicate client requirements, thereby ensuring all information is accurate between client and hotel staff by working with the Sales Coordinator and/or Front Desk team on group check-ins, room drops and operational logistics
  • Coordinate commission with Revenue managers or Finance team.
  • Cross-sell The Hoxton, Mama and Ennismore properties globally.
  • Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts, as required to meet the needs of the Company’s business operations.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
