• Oversee the overall engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel.

• Ensure the smooth functioning of all electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and utility systems.

• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.

• Monitor energy consumption and implement cost-saving and sustainability initiatives.

• Supervise, train, and guide the engineering team to ensure efficient performance.

• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, fire safety standards, and engineering policies.

• Maintain the hotel's infrastructure, guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.

• Respond promptly to engineering-related guest complaints and maintenance requests.

• Prepare and manage the departmental budget, ensuring effective cost control.

• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs, servicing, and maintenance activities.

• Oversee renovation projects, equipment installations, and engineering upgrades.

• Maintain inventory of engineering tools, spare parts, and maintenance materials.

• Monitor utility consumption, equipment performance, and maintenance expenses.

• Handle emergencies, equipment breakdowns, and utility failures to ensure uninterrupted operations.

• Coordinate with other departments to address maintenance requirements.

• Maintain engineering records, inspection reports, and compliance documentation.

• Implement energy conservation, waste reduction, and environmentally sustainable practices.

• Ensure adherence to hotel brand standards and operational quality requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Degree/Diploma in Engineering from a recognized institution.
• 8–12 years of relevant experience in hotel engineering and maintenance operations.
• Prior experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, DG sets, boilers, pumps, and other hotel utilities.
• Good understanding of preventive maintenance, energy management, and safety standards.
• Knowledge of relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and engineering/maintenance systems is preferred.
