• Prepare and produce a variety of pastries, cakes, desserts, breads, and bakery products according to established recipes and standards.
• Ensure consistent quality, taste, presentation, and portion control.
• Assist the Pastry Chef in daily production, menu preparation, and special events.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure proper storage and handling of pastry ingredients.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety in the pastry kitchen.
• Operate and maintain pastry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth and timely service.
• Train and guide Commis and junior pastry team members when required.
• Minimize wastage and maintain proper cost control.
• Follow hotel standards, HACCP requirements, and departmental SOPs.

• Diploma or certificate in Pastry, Bakery, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in pastry/bakery operations, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.
• Good knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, and dessert preparation.
• Strong attention to detail and presentation.
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Good teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
• Creative, passionate, and committed to maintaining high-quality pastry standards.
