Job Description

The Chef de Partie is a vital member of our kitchen team, responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen and ensuring the preparation and delivery of high-quality dishes. The Chef de Partie will support the kitchen leadership team in maintaining standards, training junior staff, and contributing to menu development. 

Main Duties/Responsibilities:  

  • Prepare and execute high-quality dishes in line with Haven/LiTO’s culinary vision. 
  • Assist in menu development, bringing creativity and innovation to our restaurant offerings. 
  • Maintain consistency and excellence in presentation, taste, and texture. 
  • Cooking and preparing elements of high-quality dishes ensure availability of mis en place as required.  
  • Liaise with the Food and Beverage team regarding the availability of menu items, additions to the menu and any relevant changes.  
  • Contribute to maintaining that the Food Safety program and food safety standards are adhered to at all times to ensure high standards of cleanliness and to maintain accurate daily record keeping.   

 


Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a luxury hotel, commercial kitchen or restaurant  
  • Trade Qualified Chef  
  • Passion for creativity, innovation, and excellence in pastry and dessert preparation.  
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality  
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment  
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with all levels of team members 
  • Flexible and able to embrace and respond effectively to change 
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays.   
  • Must have valid Australian Working Rights.
