Refreshment Attendant

Fairmont Dallas, located in the Arts District of downtown Dallas, offers 545 elegant guestrooms and suites, with over 73,000 square feet of flexible meeting space. Takes inventory and restocks guestroom Mini Bars on a daily basis.  Prepare charges for items used.  Maintain stocks/supplies and cleanliness of work areas.

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
• Replenish the in-room refreshment centers
• Execute room deliveries as required
• Perform administrative tasks such as reporting, inventory, and ordering
• Follow company policies, procedures and service standards
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
• Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
• Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment.  Use equipment only as intended.
• Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
• Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
• Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
• Be familiar with all Hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
• Maintain complete knowledge of:

1. All items stocked in Mini Bars.
2. and strictly abide by state liquor regulations
3. services and facilities (i.e., hours of operation, menus, price range).
4. Cleanliness, sanitation and organization of work areas; rectify any deficiencies.
5. P.O.S and manual systems.

• Generate and distribute charges for Mini Bar use in each guestroom.
• Legibly document orders when system is down and distribute food orders to Kitchen.
• Retrieve all alcoholic beverage items from bar and serve to guest.

• High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate.
• Fluency in English, both verbal and non-verbal.
• Previous experience in F&B in a hotel an asset
• Provide legible communication and directions.
• Compute basic arithmetic.
• Minimum 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Certification of previous training in liquor, wine and food service.
• Ability to input and access information in the property management system/computer/point of sales system.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and without supervision
• Ability to multi task and work cohesively as part of a team
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
