Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Public Area Supervisor to join our team in the beautiful coastal city of Umluj, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, maintenance, and overall presentation of all public areas within our hotel, creating a welcoming environment for our guests.

  • Oversee and coordinate the cleaning and maintenance of all public areas, including lobbies, corridors, elevators, and recreational facilities
  • Conduct regular inspections of public areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards and hotel policies
  • Train and mentor public area attendants, providing guidance on proper cleaning techniques and guest interaction
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels at all times
  • Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance issues or special cleaning requirements
  • Participate in daily briefings and department meetings to stay informed of hotel events and guest needs
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to guest requests and concerns related to public areas
  • Implement and maintain health and safety protocols in all public spaces
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, inspections, and incident reports
  • Assist in developing and improving standard operating procedures for public area maintenance
  • Support the Executive Housekeeper in achieving departmental goals and maintaining high standards of cleanliness

Qualifications

  • Diploma or certification in hotel management or a related field
  • Minimum of 1 year's experience in a supervisory capacity within a luxury hotel or resort housekeeping environment
  • Strong organizational, supervisory, and communication skills
  • Meticulous eye for detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • Experience with Hotel Property Management Systems (e.g., Opera) is preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make quick, accurate decisions
  • Physical stamina to perform regular inspections and occasional hands-on tasks
  • In-depth knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and equipment
  • Familiarity with local health and safety regulations
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and public holidays
  • Strong customer service orientation with a professional and courteous demeanor
  • Fluency in English (verbal & written) is essential; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is advantageous
  • Knowledge of local customs and cultural sensitivities in Saudi Arabia
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Proven track record of training and coaching team members effectively

Additional Information

  • Understanding of Ultra-Luxury guest expectations and brand alignment.
  • experience in project coordination, scheduling, and document control during pre-Opening stages.
  • Experience in pre-Opening is a must.
  • A proactive, anticipatory approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Impeccable grooming and personal presentation aligned with Luxury standards.
