Job Description

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

                                                                               

      1. You are responsible to assist the IT Manager in the operation of all computer hardware and / or software installation and maintenance.
      2. Serve as secondary contact for all servicing of computer PC hardware and / or software.
      3. Responsible for managing technology/asset life-cycle. Ensures that necessary equipment (PCs, servers, telecom-related etc.) is ordered and available.
      4. Accountable for disaster recovery and business continuity as it relates to technology.
      5. Foresees, identifies and resolves system(s)’ performance problems
      6. Ensures technology assets are secure and well-maintained in accordance with Rixos policies and standards
      7. Data Communication
      8. Installs, monitors, maintains telecommunications equipment including cabling and providing technical guidance as needed.
      9. Performs adds/moves/changes/deletions.
      10. Supports end-use company provided mobile phone issues.
      11. Troubleshoots high-speed Internet access problems.
      12. Escalates problems as appropriate through IT Manager.
      13. Desktop Support
      14. Images desktops, installs new software applications, applies patches, maps drive to correct server/network.
      15. Moves/adds/changes PCs/peripherals; migrating data when necessary.
      16. Maintain a sufficient inventory of computer related supplies 
      17. Maintain a log of all computer hardware and a log of all services calls on computer hardware 
      18. Manage the configuration records, programme files and data files on the computer system 
      19. Monitor the performance of the computer software and maintain a log of performance reports, error and integrity check reports, system malfunctions and solutions 
      20. Install and test corporate approved programme changes to the hotel computer systems 
      21. Implement Preventive Maintenance for all IT hardware & Software.
      22. Will be fully in charge of IT Dept. and all of its related issues in the absence of the IT Manager.
      23. Checking daily backups, all system interfaces, server hardware and logs. 
      24. Managing IT Clerk, assigning the daily job and training him/her on all needed theoretical and practical procedures, troubleshooting and support within corporate standards. 
      25. Follow up all claims that are being forwarded to IT Dept.
      26. Document, archive all correspondence and troubleshooting, follow up suppliers’ visits and maintenance. 
      27. Must have very good knowledge in LAN, Security, Wireless, IP Telephony, Oasys, Micros, Fidelios, Opera, Sun System, various hospitality solutions and software.
      28. Must be an example of the Rixos Values, Brand Standards, and a champion of appearance & hygiene guidelines.
      29. Implements guidelines, policies and procedures for those operating departments according to Rixos Guidelines & Standards
      30. To ensure that he/she provides a friendly, courteous and professional service at all times.

Qualifications

-Minimum 2 years of Accor experience is a plus

-UAE experience is a plus

-Hands-on experience with Opera PMS, Simphony POS, OWS, and OXI

-Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS, GDPR, and Accor IS&T policies

-Immediate availability (no notice period) is a plus

-Diploma in Computer Engineering, MCNA & CCNA.
