Competitive Salary: $83,000-$86,000 gross annually, based on previous experience & education
Job Duties Include:
Reporting to the Executive Sous Chef, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Ensure consistency in food preparation, create innovative menus, and maintain high-quality standards.
- Lead daily briefings, mentor colleagues, and manage scheduling to optimize kitchen productivity.
- Engage with guests, collaborate with venue managers for feedback, and enhance dining experiences.
- Manage food inventory, control costs, and oversee procurement while maintaining cleanliness and safety.
- Uphold health, sanitation, and safety policies, ensuring adherence to ALLSAFE protocols.
Required experience:
- Red Seal Journeyperson Cook Certification or international equivalency
Or
- Completion of Rouxbe Culinary Foundations level 1 & 2. Receiving certification in both with a grade greater than 90% and 54 months (7,020 hours) experience in relevant workplaces
Your Skills & Qualifications:
- 3-4 years of culinary supervisory/leadership experience, preferably in a luxury or large kitchen environment.
- Safe Food Handling Certification.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Physically able to lift, carry, and pull up to 50 lbs; constant standing and walking throughout shifts.
- Comfortable working with kitchen equipment, including ovens, stoves, mixers, fryers, steamers, and freezers.
