We are seeking a talented and passionate Junior Sous Chef to join our culinary team in Cairo, Egypt. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will work closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to create exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
- Assist the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and quality control
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Manage inventory, place orders, and maintain proper storage procedures
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new dishes and seasonal menu offerings
- Monitor food quality and presentation throughout service
- Assist in managing kitchen costs and minimizing waste
- Participate in staff training and development initiatives
- Step in for the Sous Chef when necessary, demonstrating leadership and decision-making skills
- Contribute to the creation of specials and innovative menu items, showcasing creativity and knowledge of local and international cuisines
- Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized institution
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or hotel
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate team members
- Excellent knowledge of various cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen equipment
- Proficiency in knife skills and operation of kitchen equipment
- Strong understanding of menu planning, cost control, and inventory management
- Creativity in food presentation and ability to contribute to menu development
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of Egyptian cuisine and local ingredients is a plus
- Professional appearance and demeanor

Hotel Overview: Overlooking one of Cairo’s most beautiful Nile views, Nile City Towers complex is a business destination claim to Egypt’s corporate success. Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
• Constant standing and walking throughout shift.
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.
• Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting.
• Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps.
Visa Requirements: Must be legally permitted to work in Egypt.
