Job Description

This position is responsible for assisting in the management of all Recruitment, Talent, Training and Development activities at Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort. With a diverse group of 300 employees, this integral role is involved in:

  • Oversee frontline recruitment, ensuring requisitions are completed.
  • Prepare and distribute employee documentation with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support employee development by prompting and tracking performance reviews, training attendance and coordinating exit interviews.
  • Ensure individual team member files are maintained and regularly updated, tracking data for accuracy and reporting purposes.
  • Build communication strategy to ensure culture and engagement message is well received throughout the hotels and wider community.
  • Coordinate with the business to retain, develop and motivate people to achieve their fullest potential.
  • Ensure that the onboarding experience is prioritized and contributes to driving retention.

This position is offered on a fixed-term contract to January 2025 for parental-leave cover.


Qualifications

You will possess:

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 12-18 months experience in a T&C/HR Administration role, ideally in a Hospitality environment.
  • Sound knowledge of HR processes, including some IR legislation.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office.
  • Service oriented with an eye for detail.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrated initiative in a dynamic environment. 
  • An ability to understand and navigate complex stakeholder environments.
  • Confident and articulate communication, negotiation, relationship and networking skills.
  • Time management skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Strong personal integrity.
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with all levels of team members.
