Batman's Hill on Collins is a 4-star Accor hotel in Melbourne, offering an ideal city stay for corporate, leisure and group travel guests. We are conveniently located in the heart of Melbourne's CBD, right opposite Southern Cross Station with easy access to public transport. Along with 190 guest rooms, we offer our guests and visitors a fully equipped conference centre with multiple function spaces, restaurant and lounge bar.

We are looking for a full-time Guest Service Agent who has a passion for engaging with and assisting guests and colleagues.  You will support the Front Office Duty Manager with daily tasks at Reception and create a welcoming space for our guests. Offering the award rate of $25.80 per hour plus applicable penalty rates, this role offers a great development opportunity to grow your skills and confidence in a busy hotel right in the heart of Melbourne and to be a part of the global Accor community.


Job Description

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing a unique and personalized experience for each guest at our hotel by creating connections and using creative ways to exceed guest expectations.
  • Assisting with reservations booking requests or enquiries via phone or email and ensuring guest details are accurately recorded in the PMS system
  • Taking and directing all incoming calls
  • Sharing information about the hotel and the local area with our guests
  • Assisting guests with luggage
  • Maintaining the presentation of the front desk and hotel lobby

Qualifications

  • Availability to work a rotating roster including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays. Occasional overnight shifts may be required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritise tasks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and good keyboard skills
  • Knowledge of the RMS property management system would be an advantage, however training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Familiarity with Melbourne and the ability to make recommendations to guests is desirable but not essential
  • Current RSA, or willing to obtain prior to commencement
  • You must have current full-time working rights in Australia. We are unable to provide sponsorship for this role.
