We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Design Professional (DCDP) to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and planning state-of-the-art data center facilities that meet our organization's growing needs and industry standards.
- Develop comprehensive data center designs, including power, cooling, network, and physical infrastructure
- Conduct capacity planning and analysis to ensure optimal resource utilization
- Create detailed floor plans, rack layouts, and cable management designs using AutoCAD or similar software
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data center designs with business requirements and IT strategies
- Evaluate and recommend innovative technologies and solutions to improve data center efficiency and performance
- Manage multiple data center design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints
- Perform site assessments and feasibility studies for new data center locations or expansions
- Develop and maintain documentation for data center designs, including technical specifications and operational procedures
- Stay current with industry trends, standards, and best practices in data center design and operations
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in data center design and planning
- Proven track record in managing large-scale data center projects
- Extensive knowledge of data center infrastructure components, including power systems, cooling solutions, and network architecture
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software
- Strong understanding of virtualization technologies and their impact on data center design
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards and best practices (e.g., TIA-942, BICSI, Uptime Institute)
- Experience with capacity planning and analysis for data center environments
- Familiarity with energy efficiency and sustainability practices in data centers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional certifications such as CDCP (Certified Data Centre Professional) or DCDA (Data Center Design Aware) are preferred
- Willingness to travel to various data center locations as needed
