Job Description

Reporting to the Night Manager, you will be responsible for general Front Office and Night Audit duties including maintaining guest accounts, posting charges, reconciling payments and generating daily reports. You will assist in the management of the team and ensure the overnight processes runs smoothly. Along side delivering exceptional guest experiences you will also be responsible for their safety and security during their stay. You will provide effective supervision of all guest arrivals, departures, ensuring that room allocation, check in and check out processes are followed. Lastly you will ensure that all standards are maintained and guest needs are met by regularly liaising with other departments such as Maintenance, housekeeping and reservations.

To be successful in this role you will be a self-motivated and well-respected leader with a passion for delivering outstanding results for the Hotel.

The successful candidate must be available to work night shifts including weekends and public holidays and must have Full NZ working rights. 

This is a part-time position working on a rotating 7-day roster, with a wage of $29.11 per hour PLUS a night allowance from 12am - 5am. 


Qualifications

You will also have:

  • Previous experience in a Supervisory or Night Supervisor role,  within a Hotel environment
  • Must have LCQ
  • Must have GM certificate or willing to obtain this 
  • Knowledge of emergency Procedures & general health and safety procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • An energetic and proactive approach to providing 5 star service
  • A meticulous and methodical approach to processing all tasks
  • An effective communicator
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs particularly Excel
  • Full New Zealand Drivers License 
  • Experience with a Hotel Property Management System (PMS) preferably Opera.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure in a busy fast-paced environment
