Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient General Cashier- Payroll professional to join our team in Baghdad, Iraq. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, processing payroll, and maintaining accurate records for our hotel.

  • Handle cash, checks, and electronic transactions with precision and accuracy
  • Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in pay rates
  • Reconcile cash drawers and prepare daily financial reports
  • Calculate and process payroll deductions, including taxes, benefits, and garnishments
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and resolve any discrepancies
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal payroll regulations
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to maintain accurate financial records

Qualifications

 

  • 2-3 years of experience in cashier or payroll roles
  • Proficiency in accounting software and payroll systems
  • Strong mathematical skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Advanced data entry and record-keeping skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and tax laws
  • Experience with cash handling and financial transactions
  • Understanding of payroll processes and regulations
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
