We are currently looking for a sales superstar to join the team as our Business Development Manager.

Job Description

Working alongside the Director of Sales and Marketing you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the top accounts for corporate, wholesale, inbound, retail, travel agent and MICE sectors.
  • Supported by a close-knit team you will work with the Director of Sales and Marketing to assist in developing a strategic approach to ensure the acquisition of major business and partnership opportunities to achieve total hotel revenue targets.
  • You will be responsible for managing proactive sales, and will work closely with the Conference and Event Sales team to drive conferencing business for both the Hotel and Pumphouse Sydney.
  • You will be required to stay up to date with key market information and trends, and use this to leverage current and new business.
  • In addition to managing the Hotels key accounts, you will also be expected to develop low-producing accounts to ideally convert them into key accounts for the Hotel.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will have

  • Demonstrated sales in experience in a hotel environment.
  • You will have the natural ability to source, develop and manage new business leads.
  • You will have strong communication skills both verbally and written, and will be a naturally ambitious leader who is always seeking the next business opportunity.
  • You will have an obvious passion for forming ongoing relationships and delivering unforgettable guest experiences.
  • Experience and knowledge of Opera and Delphi will be highly regarded.
